Top Centers Hit Parade
Twenty-three outlet centers turn out to be among the best for the 62 retail
chains participating in the latest Top Centers survey conducted by the
Outlet Retail Merchants Association. Using their own 2002 sales data,
the retailers pointed to which centers produce the highest sales psf and
gross sales for their chains.

expansions planned
While phase 1 projects are few and far between these days, 19 outlet-center
expansions totaling more than 1.2 million sf are planned to open in the

Outlet-store sales dip in April
Despite a later Easter this year, comp-store outlet sales dipped 3.7 percent
in April with mixed regional results - an increase in the South, but decreases
in the West, Midwest and Northeast.
